Growing up with public school teacher parents in disenfranchised neighborhoods, I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the less privileged. This experience fueled my deep commitment to advocacy and shaped my approach to law. At Georgia State University School of Law, I balanced a full class load with part-time work, demonstrating my dedication to the legal profession.
During law school, I gained practical experience through internships at the Supreme Court of Georgia, various county courts, and the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office. As a practicing third-year law student, I entered the courtroom early, honing my skills in legal research, jury selection, and trial advocacy. I developed a reputation for thoroughness, often uncovering evidence and witnesses others might have overlooked.
After graduation, I chose to begin my career as a criminal defense attorney to gain extensive trial experience. I served as lead attorney in numerous felony and misdemeanor trials, arguing cases in trial courts throughout Georgia and in the Atlanta Division of the Federal Court Northern District of Georgia. My commitment to justice extends to pro bono work, reflecting my belief that everyone deserves quality legal representation.
In 2021, I established Medders Injury Law, where I continue to fight for the rights of injury victims throughout Atlanta and beyond. Drawing from my diverse background in criminal defense and personal injury law, I treat every case as if it's the most important I've ever handled. My approach combines open communication, aggressive representation, and a relentless pursuit of justice, with success measured not just in verdicts or settlements, but in client satisfaction.
Meet the “Paw”-ralegal: Rio
An integral part of the team, Rio inspires Medders Injury Law to pursue justice with the same passion that she chases down tennis balls. Rio has been by Morgan’s side at the office from day one and transitioned into a role as Medders Injury Law’s goodest girl when Morgan started his practice. When she’s not at the dog park or playing fetch with Morgan, she is often found quietly asleep in her nook.
